Check on a vehicle's MOT status :
a GOV.UK service : type in the reg. and BINGO!
You can book a reminder for when your MOT's due and - perhaps more usefully -
find out if there are any manufacturer's RECALL notices on a car.
|
|
Get a print-out of your vehicle's MOT certificate :
a GOV.UK service : you'll need a code from your V5 document for this. |

Get yourself some VERY smart Registration Plates by designing on line, so that what-you-see really IS what-you-get! Use the "Plate Information" boxes to enter your reg. and then explore the Personal Touch to enter LEGAL parameters : • coloured frame = legal • name at the bottom = now legal • no date of manufacturer's name = all LEGAL nowadays - my own passed MOT [6.xi.18] with no problems. Just be careful over the choice of flag/badge : if you first click the "Plate Type" to show "Road Legal" you can check those flags/logos which are legal; then revert to the "Showplate" menus to add, legally, your name or Company name underneath the reg. number. The service you'll receive [and the price] are second-to-none. |

Renewing your ADI Badge on line. Works well enough, but don't expect a receipt for your Accountant! |

NEW!
Don't punish or tell people off nowadays - send them off to a class to be "educated" over their delinquent ways! A worrying article here from the British Medical Association showing that Western Governments' preferred course of action in "re-educating" driving-offenders rather than punishing them is simply ineffectual; and yet - despite the evidence - it remains their preferred take on the problem. |
